GMA REBRANDS WITH VIVID ZERO

// The Vivid Zero team created a modern, fresh, and energetic graphics package that informs and delivers.

We dove into design exploration, structure, and viewer navigation, with the flagship morning show. In addition to a restructured show open, we added an innovative up next menu and tease component to the lower third system.

“Michael V and team are some mad creative and collaborative driven MFers”

– Alan Ives, SVP Marketing & Creative at ABC News.

Vivid Zero worked closely with ABC News to prepare delivery for their VIZRT platform while also creating a streamlined Avid Graphics Toolkit with our editorial team. With modularity and flexibility as key drivers, ABC can quickly update a show open in the GMA Studios as fast as news can break.

A BRIGHT NEW DAY
Every morning begins with a sunrise. The GMA logo mark activates and kicks off a graphic morning sunrise to help viewers start their day.

A NEW INTERFACE
Knowing where we are in time and space is essential. It gives us control and allows us to absorb news and information. For the 8am kick off, Vivid Zero designed a modern open that delivers a sense of navigation and structure for the viewer. With modularity and ease of use, GMA gives a snapshot of where we are and what’s to come.

LIGHTER FARE
Entertainment and additional fare are delivered through a light and energetic graphics package. This modular variation helps showcase and support a variety of topics via transitions, lower thirds, textures, patterns and backgrounds.

LOWER THIRD SYSTEM
Lower thirds can be as important as a show open, if not more. We helped ABC with their new vision of an Up Next Module and created more structure for the hardest working element of the package. The Up Next Module is an innovative addition, nested into the Lower Third, and serves as a tease of what’s to come. The robust bug system remains a core component that features time, temp, URL and a variety of oscillating logo marks. Vivid Zero worked closely with the ABC News production team to implement this navigational system on their VIZRT platform.
